STUDENT FINANCIAL AID
American Winds appreciates the students complexity in securing funding for ones flight training. Student may pay for their flight training through self pay or student loans. Self pay means the student will pay for their flight training by cash, check, credit card or by private loans. A private loan may be a loan taking out from the bank for education or it may be a loan taking with some for of secured collateral. The collateral may be a house or some other type of asset.
Most student try to get federal student aid. Why? The government will give loans to students seeking to obtain further education easier than a bank lending a private loan. Beside, the interest rate is a lot cheaper! The federal government does have guidelines and qualifiers for lending. Not everyone qualifies! There are many different types of loans. Each loan has unique guidelines. It is important each student looks into each and every loan offered by the government. Through the federal rules loan information must be given given out by authorized personnel. For some loans, American Winds may provide information. If a student is wishing to attend Utah Valley University, they must go directly to the financial aid office for information.
Scholarships and grants are available too. We have provided a sampling of some of the scholarships available to students. New scholarships are available all the time. As we find out about them, we will post them. Federal grant information will be given to you by the financial aid office if one is attending a degree program at Utah Valley University.
