AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT
SINGLE/MULTI ENGINE
|
The Airline Transport Pilot is the final FAA certificate to obtain. The ATP Certificate is necessary to obtain Captain Status in the aviation world including the airlines and private corporate charter. Traditionally, Students obtain their multi-engine ATP Certificate first if they plan on flying large aircraft in their aviation career. On a rare occasion, a student may obtain their ATP license in a single engine airplane only or obtain the ATP single engine certificate first.

Course Objective:
The Student will obtain the knowledge, skill, and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements of the FAA Airline Transport Pilot PTS with an airplane category rating and a multi-engine land.
Ground Training Includes:
FAR’s/AIM; Airport markings and signs; airspace; meteorology; weather and weather data services; preflight preparation and procedures; complex aircraft procedures and systems; advanced aerodynamics principles; airplane performance limitations; aeronautical charts and publications; radio aids to VFR/IFR navigation; IFR departure, enroute, and arrival procedures; IFR emergency procedures; ADM; CRM; radio communications; ATC; aero medical factors; commercial operations; passenger and freight loading; night maneuvers; and ground operations.

Students must review their flight hours to see if they have met the FAA regulations. Students who have met the minimum hours or have very few hours left prior to the checkride should choose to train under Part 61. Both programs may be trained under our FAST TRACK program. FAST TRACK TRAINING PROGRAM
Due to the high demand by the airlines and corporate charter for pilots, American Winds has taken our proven training program and adapted to a FAST TRACK program.
Don’t be fooled by National flight school chains that have paid recruiters trying to lure in Students by phony sales pitches. “Get a Private license in 2 weeks or a Commercial license in 90 days.” Students graduating from these flight schools spend their days flying with little or no ground training by the flight school or flight instructor. Flight hours without quality ground training and academic studying is a complete waste of money!!! Students must do their homework and demand a high quality flight training program for their money. Students should expect their flight school of choice to have an excellent reputation in the aviation community. Most importantly, Student should know with confidence that their aviation education will get them a quality job.
American Winds trains our FAST TRACK students with EVERY intention of one day hiring them as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). We have hired 99.9% of our CFI Students. We have a 100% pass rate with 7 FAA Designated Flight Examiners (DPE). American Winds has made national new and aviation history. Our reputation for quality, leadership and customer service precedes us.
Students will use our quality flight syllabi to track their training progress. Students will also use our FAA inspected airplanes with our standardized flight instructors. All of this will be under the guidance of our Chief Flight Instructor.
Cost
The cost of obtaining an airline transport rating cannot be approximated. The student must meet the flight requirements of Part 61. After that, the student must take the required FAA written exam. The additional required flight time will depend on the students’ level of skill. On average, students will spend an additional 10 hours of flight time before taking their ATP checkride. These costs can range between $1795 and $3000.
