Akron Institute (AI) of Herzing University and Utah Valley University (UVU) now offer Associates and Bachelors degrees in conjunction with American Winds flight training. These programs give students the perfect opportunity to advance one's education and career opportunities with a degree while obtaining the required aviation licenses to become a commercial pilot. Akron Institute is located less than four miles from American Winds. Our transportation service makes this a simple commute for students wanting to pursue the Associate Degree available through AI. For those students who would like to pursue a Bachelors Degree, Utah Valley University offers distance learning programs for both its Associate and Bachelors programs which can provide students with a more flexible schedule.

Bachelor of Science in Aviation Professional Pilot,Utah Valley University

  • The Bachelor of Science degree will prepare students to enter the work force as a professional pilot at an Intermediate to Advanced level.
  • The program builds upon the AAS and AS degrees offered by UVU Aviation Program.
  • Recipients of the Aviation Professional Pilot Degree are qualified to be hired as commercial pilots flying for the airlines, corporate world or variety of other jobs.
Bachelor of Science in Aviation Administration, Utah Valley University
  • The Aviation Administration Degree will develop practical management and leadership skills for students with career goals in the aviation industry.
